PLEASE NOTE: We do not offer classes in July and August due to annual scheduled maintenance. Classes will resume in late September/early October.
2 Hour Session- 1 or 2 students
Cost $465
Fireweed offers a 2hr “try it” session for 1 or 2 students. This a great opportunity to get a taste of what it’s like to work with molten glass. Students can expect to make a blown cup and will learn how to gather glass, apply colour, use basic tools and blow the glass.
4 Hour Session- 2 students
NOTE: this class must have two participant
Cost $900
In the 4hr class, students will create two pieces, one solid paperweight and one blown cup. This class is a good way to experience two ways of working with molten glass and there unique challenges. You will learn how to gather glass, apply colour, shape the glass with a variety of tools and is a great opportunity to spend time in the studio learning traditional glassblowing techniques.
Classes are booked on an individual basis and are booked 3-4 weeks in advance.

Deanna McGillivray will be teaching beginner stained glass classes throughout the year at her home studio in Calgary. This is a great way to start to get to know how glass works.
